Once a client knows when they will hear from you, then they can plan their day and work consequently. Always provide your clients more than they ask for. You will be pleased with not only more work, but plenty of word of mouth referrals too. Settle on exactly when work is to be finished or when the order is to go out. This will save a marvelous quantity of problems down the road if everyone is in conformity. It’s also good to have a written contract. Be detailed. Once everybody knows what is expected, things run so much more smoothly. One thing you desire to do is always try and make your deadlines and avoid excuses. We all know things can ensue and that’s okay rarely. On the other hand, if you make it a practice of needing additional time or not finishing projects, that client will dread sending you more work. Not a good thing. Very significant, listen to what they say. It’s so simple to get busy and not listen or take over the conversation. Being a good listener is a valuable asset.
And lastly, enjoy. Start a good relation with your clients and let them know that you care about them. Think how you feel when something lets you know they care about you.
